Ziya Guliyev is a human rights lawyer and the founder of the Law Society of Azerbaijan, an independent think tank dedicated to advancing human rights in the country. He holds a master's degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex. Previously, he served on the boards of CIVICUS Alliance and the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (2016–18). In 2024, he graduated from the Fisher Family Summer Fellows Program on Democracy and Development at Stanford University's Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. Currently, he is an Open Government Leadership Collaborative Fellow, focusing on civil society's role in the rule of law and anti-corruption efforts.

Liubov Melnychuk is an Associate Professor at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine), Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, Department of International Relations and Public Communications. She holds a PhD in Political Science and serves as Director of the Centre for Romanian Studies.

Dr. van Kolfschooten is a researcher at the Center for Life Sciences Law (ZLSR), Faculty of Law, University of Basel, Switzerland. Her work focuses on the intersection of law, health, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies. She previously served as a lecturer-researcher at the University of Amsterdam, where she completed her Ph.D. in Law on European Union regulation of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and its implications for patients' rights.

She regularly publishes and speaks internationally on AI governance, digital health regulation, ethics, and healthcare law. Dr. van Kolfschooten has been a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School, the University of Verona, and Fondation Brocher. She serves as an advisor to the World Health Organization through the WHO Technical Advisory Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health (TAG-AI).

Kseniia Guliaeva is a Research Associate at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law at the University of Vienna, where she joined in October 2023. She holds an LL.M. from Syracuse University (USA) and is a Fulbright alumna. She previously worked as a Senior Lawyer in an international corporate group, focusing on intellectual property and data protection law, and served as a Filtering Lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights.

Her academic and professional work focuses on intellectual property law, data protection, human rights, and the legal challenges of digital transformation, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. She is currently involved in several EU- and third-party funded research projects related to AI governance, digital health data, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks for digital systems.

Szilárd Szélpál is a multidisciplinary policy professional with expertise spanning environmental policy, European affairs, security-related strategic analysis, research and innovation policy, and foreign affairs. He is currently President of the PROSUM Foundation.

He spent ten years as an environmental expert in the European Parliament, working on sustainability, regulation, environmental governance, and the links between climate, security, innovation, and international policy. He is currently pursuing doctoral research in safety and security sciences at Óbuda University.

As an international adviser, he brings a Central European perspective to strategic cooperation, institutional resilience, transatlantic relations, and freedom-oriented public policy.
